I was cooking my entire life for my family and for friends. In Costa Rica I quickly saw that high quality food existed there in abundance: Meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, coffee and much more – just paradise!

However, high quality bread as we know it in Europe was missing. My dream, after more than 30 years in practice as a lawyer, was to begin something entirely new together with my love for preparing good food.

Richemont, the Swiss bakery school in Lucerne taught me the art of baking fine bread, rolls, croissants and pastries. After visiting the largest bakers’ fare in Munich and seeing there what I would need in equipment, I started Los Pancitos de Don Christian in Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
